There's A Ghost At My Place Of Employment

ok some of you will laugh at this, but it's true, there is a spirit that haunts the premises where i work.. it has spoken to me once when i was locking up, it was 1 single word "hello", i looked around and saw nothing, i ignored it, set the alarm locked the door & went home.

other times i have felt something brush passed me as i have entered the building early in the morning.

the experience that got to me most happened the other nite when i was called back to the store by security, as i pulled into the drive way there was a man standing at the rear of the building, in the split second of looking away he dissapeared, there's no way that he could have run off the property in that split second.. what do you think?.

I didn't say Ghost Hunters was legitimate proof. I said go with them, OR a group like them, on one of their investigations and see for yourself whether they are committing the greatest hoax in the history of mankind. That way, you can come back here and tell all of us.

Would you take a drug that had not been tested, but just had a bunch of unverifiable claims as to its effectiveness?

There is plenty of proof, but the way you deflect the issue is like this: So you don't have to accept it, you set up a burden of proof that you know will, more than likely, show no paranormal activity at all.

Ghost hunters? Are you seriously kidding me?
Why would I be joking?
Then you could either prove that they are legit, or you could gather "evidence" that the whole thing is a giant hoax.
You don't have to go with them, I said "or some group like that".

Are you referring to videos I can find on Youtube?
No. There are websites you can find that deal with the things I mentioned.

Of course, if people want to absolutely believe in the supernatural, no critical question is ever legitimate.

For people who absolutely do not want to believe, their is no legitimate evidence.

From my own experience, and obviously from other's experiences, these events happen whenever they happen.

Maybe you should go with the Ghost Hunters, or some group like that, on one of their investigations and see for yourself.

This is what I think: If ghosts do exist, why is there not one shred of objective, verifiable, repeatable evidence proving so? Why is there ONLY testomonial evidence?
There ARE photographs, videos, recordings of evp's, but skeptics like to fall back on "they were doctored".

Sister "Elly" vanishes

my daughter is 18 and goes to meetings from time-to-time basically to mess with the dubs (she always wears mini-skirts) and keep up on gossip....she actually filled me in on this but i find it amusing.. sister "elly" (we'll just call her that) the buxom vixen of our spanish congo suddenly stopped showing up to meetings.

my curiosity became aroused when not one single person asked her mom about her!.

her mom and step-dad are super-dubs, the kind who take it personally if a child draws pictures during the meeting rather than sit ram-rod straight, if a bro uses the john more than once, or if a sister "forgets" her hose.

Question for believers: How does God set priorities?

while waiting for the bus yesterday, i overheard (wasn't trying - but due to his volume, impossible to avoid) a guy on his cell phone talking to someone about his likely imminent dismissal from his employment.. but he then went on to say that he had full confidence that god would take care of him, and he wasn't worried at all about finding new employment.. then i got home, watched the news, and found out that 4 million kenyans are in danger of starving to death because of a year-long drought there.. so i got to thinking - how exactly does god set priorities?.

the guy at the bus stop is not the first christian i've heard express his confidence that god chooses to intervene and help in the lives of individual believers.

he saves them from car wrecks, he helps them find jobs, he lends some sort of invisible emotional support to help them cope with the death of a child, and so on.. on the other hand, millions of people suffer excruciating pain for months or years before finally dying covered in mud with flies crawling on them - no relief from god in sight.. why does god help one middle-aged guy who's never been hungry in his life find a new job in time so that he doesn't miss his $3000 mortgage payment, but not send a little rain to help a land where millions of people are already living in misery and filth?.

It is human nature to look for "a reason", to try to know the unknowable, to explain things that they were not there to experience.

Asking "why" doesn't always get you an answer other than "no one really knows".

Russian JWs in Serious Trouble - about to be banned

although it has been leading up to this for a long time, it appears russia has made up their mind to get rid of "extremist" groups by banning them, and jws are pretty much at the top of the list.

the last few years under putin they have been giving them heaps of trouble.. .

i am not for bans as it usually backfires, but under the "new" admnistration it looks like hard-core responses are in order.
